Colquitt hopes to follow in his dad's footsteps
|
"With my dad and my first cousin, me and my brother, I think it's something that God kind of opened the door for us," Dustin Colquitt said Sunday at the end of a three-day rookie camp.
Conventional wisdom in the NFL says teams should not waste draft picks on punters because they can be "found." |

Q&A with DICK VERMEIL
|
Q: Your impressions on your last chance to look at those two quarterbacks you brought in here?
DICK VERMEIL: “I’ll go back in and talk to my coaches about them, but they’re two competitive kids. One’s drafted and the other’s not. We’ll have to decide whether we want to bring an extra quarterback to training camp. I don’t know if we’ll do that or not right now. So, we’ll just wait and condense all our thoughts as we go back.” Story |

He runs a 4.4 40. He can boast of a 42-inch vertical jump.
He's tall (6-foot-3) and has ideal size (212 pounds). Story |

Q: How do you feel about the additions to the defense?
CUNNINGHAM: “Carl Peterson, Denny Thum, Lynn Stiles and Bill Kuharich had a plan. We got together, we met for hours and hours to tried to develop the plan. CHIEFS NOTES-ROOKIE CAMP
|
Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil said 42 players showed up for Friday's rookie camp, and more than half of them are here for a tryout.

Q&A LB JAMES "BOOMER" GRIGSBY
|
Q: Do you like the intensity of Kansas City’s defensive coaches?
GRIGSBY: “Definitely. That’s the best way to respond when you have someone all over your tail. I like a go-after-it coach a lot better than a passive one, although I’ll respond either way. We’ve got some of the best coaches in football here.” Story |

Q&A with DICK VERMEIL
|
Q: Your first impressions of the rookies?
DICK VERMEIL: “I think they had fun. It was only an hour and 15 minutes (practice). When you have to tell them to back off the intensity you know they’re having fun. They get excited and the tempo gets going faster than you’d like it to, so you have to slow them down. Overall, they did a good job.” Full Story Here |
